Collaborative Planning Research Workshop

with Professor Judith Innes, UC Berkely

Transforming Housing welcomes you to a workshop designed to improve collaborative planning research capacity and foster new research partnerships.

Presentations and discussions will cover:

  • The Possibilities and Pitfalls of Collaborative Planning (presented by Professor Judith Innes, co-author of Planning with complexity: An introduction to collaborative rationality for public policy)

  • Stories from the Field (from a panel of leading academics engaged in research projects involving diverse stakeholders)

  • Strategies and lessons for converting collaborative research into action

The workshop will be an opportunity to meet other researchers interested in collaborative planning and discuss ways to deliver successful collaborative research projects.

The Hallmark Research Initiative for Affordable Housing is a University of Melbourne research group focused on fostering cross-faculty research initiatives on the topic of affordable housing. The Initiative brings together outstanding researchers from across the University of Melbourne to address the housing affordability crisis. Supported by an advisory group of industry experts, the Initiative draws on a depth and breath of knowledge to create affordable, healthy, inclusive, sustainable communities. The Initiative aims to develop innovative solutions to a complex issue that can't be solved by one discipline alone.
